Massive Mob Grinder!

This is how it works:

First there is about 5 or more levels of complete darkness where monsters can spawn all the time even during day. On the edge of each level is a conveyor belt of water (8 blocks long in each direction) that pushes, helpless monsters who are unfortunate enough to fall into it to the edge. Each edge of the grinder falls straight down to another conveyor belt of water that pushes the monsters to the middle of each side, and here is where the fun part comes in…

In the middle of this next conveyor the monsters reach some floating lava that has been suspended by using a few ladders. This in turn kills the monsters but leaves their precious drops untouched. The items are then pushed threw a small opening under the lava and taken down a series of other conveyor belts until they reach their final destination. At the end of all this there are a couple of pressure plates that will light up a some redstone torches that indicate there are items ready to be picked up.
